Must Have Baby Items 0-12m

I’m sure you’ve already watched countless of hours of YouTube videos on what to buy for your baby. I’m not going to discuss baby gear because everyone has a different price range and every baby is so different. So basically, if I was stranded on an island with a baby and I could only take what I needed to survive, this would be it! I became a major minimalist with baby #2 because after my experimental baby #1, I was able to get an idea of what I actually needed and used. If you get anything out of this, just don’t buy a damn wipe warmer: they dry out your expensive Water Wipes & babies need to be changed everywhere; you aren’t going to have a wipe warmer in the middle of Nordstrom’s when your tiny human has a blowout.
Get them used to regular, chilled wipes lol.

Aquafor aka “The Heal All Ointment”

Black Onesies/Clothing (I tossed so many clothes due to stains, black clothes just makes sense & yellow breast milk poop stains are permanent)

FridaBaby 3in1 (stop sticking your dirty pinkies in baby’s noses and ears lol)

Water Wipes

Velcro Swaddles (my favorite brand is the Halo Sleepsack)

Cooling teething tablets

Aden & Anai Silk Swaddles

Nose Frida (I have like 4 of these. Two per kid. I will never use a Bulb Snot Sucker because they harbor bacteria and can’t be cleaned. This gadget is a game changer. My 3yo doesn’t know how to blow his nose and he loves this thing. They may scream at first but it isn’t painful at all.)

Changing Mat (I kept an extra changing mat under the couch because that’s where I spent so much time. During your recovery, you aren’t going to want to go to a changing table every hour or every diaper change. I had a whole changing basket by the couch so I wouldn’t even have to stand up to get supplies for changes)

Gerber Cloth Diapers (NOT USED AS DIAPERS. These are the best burp cloths. Amazing for cleaning, burping, they’re soft, easy to wash & inexpensive. They have so many uses.)

Gripe Water (Baby’s Hate Hiccups. This magic potion can get rid of hiccups in 30 seconds. It’s mind blowing)
