Five February Favorites
1. NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation (Macao)
-Natural Radiant Glow: Not too dewy but gives the perfect glow
-Water and sweat resistant: Wore this to the beach twice, got sweaty, water on my face, my makeup was still flawless and I didn’t even have to do any touch ups for my date night 4 hours later other than just applying a little translucent powder on my chin and forehead
-Looks better with wear: throughout the day when you give it time to sink into the skin it still looks flawless; I did not even use setting spray the 1st three times I wore it.
-Color Match: I watched a ton of videos & then went to two different Sephoras. I was kinda bummed that I couldn’t find the perfect shade, which isn’t anything new but the Color Matching Technology in this foundation is definitely REAL. Somehow I was the same shade as one of my favorite beauty Youtubers, Jackie Aina. We are completely different skin tones but somehow the color that best matched me was the same as hers. I easily could have gone one shade lighter or even mixed two shades but by adding concealer under my eyes, the color match works great!
-Coverage: I needed 2 pumps for full coverage, very very little of my hyper-pigmentation (dark spots) showed through the foundation
CONS: if you’re super oily, this is not the foundation for you. If you’re combo or dry, I definitely recommend!
2. Black Beauty Sponge from Beauty Creations purchase sponge here
-This sponge is amazing, super soft, blends well, and it feels like there’s some kind of memory gel foam in it, it’s the weirdest/coolest texture, and by far my favorite new sponge tool.
-Not to mention it was only 5$!
-It also came with a little soap bar made specifically for cleaning the sponge.
3. Favorite Lip combo
-MAC Cork liner
-Kylie Cosmetics Brown Sugar liquid lipstick
-This is the BEST Nude Lip combo for all my brown skin girls.
4. KoKo Lashes in the style, Queen B purchase here
-These lashes are naturally wispy but still dramatic if that makes any sense.
-My eyes are on the smaller side and they make them look so much more open. They are not heavy, and they look GREAT with any look.
-Not to mention they’re only 7.99!
5. NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick in Rose Petal Pop
-I don’t like when my face looks cakey or powdery. I like dewy, luminous makeup and this blush option does exactly that. The color is so pretty and natural; I blend it up into my highlight.
-I’d consider it a cream blush stick
-I apply with my fingers then blend it out further with a sponge
