Last week, I traveled to southern California to visit Andre where he is training. Yes, I drove 3 hours by myself at 35 weeks preggo. Not only did I get cleared by my doctor, I took all my medical records, and it was actually super easy and relaxing. This was probably the best time I have ever had with Andre. Some parts of it did not even feel real. I was so happy and it was much needed. We didn’t argue once, Andre was just so loving and nurturing, and my only responsibility the whole week was making sure I got down to breakfast at the hotel before 9am, lol. This was the 1st time I had seen him in over a month! I got to watch him train a few times, which is easily one of my most favorite things to do. I got to tour his training facilities, test out his super healthy food (which was surprisingly super yummy!), and just RELAX.
During this week, we got to celebrate Valentine’s Day and my 23rd birthday! (2/19). Andre knows how much I love to take pictures so he let me spend about 2 hours getting dolled up while he was at workouts and we headed to the beach for a simple, romantic Valentine’s Day beach date. We went to Tamarack State Beach in Carlsbad, CA. The beach was empty, the weather was perfect, I could not have asked for a better day. We watched the sun set while eating fresh fish and chips at this little beachfront café overlooking the ocean. I’m not getting maternity photos taken because I feel as if I could spend that 200$ elsewhere, and to me, Andre knows how to work my DSLR camera so I’ll take unlimited photos for free any day.
Two days before my birthday we went shopping and had dinner at Benihana’s (our go-to fave). I got to splurge on makeup and a few items from the Tory Burch Store. We went shopping on thee perfect day; every store at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets had a sale going on so we did not pay full price for a single thing, #winning.

The day before my birthday (my last full day visiting), we went to the beach again to take more pictures and actually get in the water. We were just laughing and playing in the water like two kids and it was seriously something I will never forget. We ended the day by watching The Black Panther at Cinepolis Luxury Movie Theatre, such a cool experience. This was probably our last real date as a party of 2 without needing a babysitter, so we definitely cherished the moment.
Although we did a lot of fun activities, I must say, my favorite activities were cuddling in bed with the AC blasting, watching Netflix, and eating mini Nothing Bundt cakes while Andre ate apples.
